I’m David Schmoll and I began working as a full-time professional musician in 1978. Since then, I’ve worked with all sorts of equipment, playing all types of music, both live and in the studio. In 1996, I began working with improv and sketch comedy groups. I took a deep dive into music for comedy, and found a whole new way of thinking about how music works. Since then, I’ve produced music for “Late Night” with Seth Meyers, AOK Digital, and Lekker Media, and I’m currently Musical Director of “The Amber Ruffin Show,” streaming new episodes weekly on NBC Peacock.
